Jesse - totally agree. I think the iteration would be first - create an experience that would be mostly video based. text could be read by teachers. no internet? drop the contend on a thumb drive or a CD and run it off that. as far as running business off instinct - that is both a problem and a solution. The goal of this would be to debunk traditional methods that dont work, and teach best practices. Eventually, you could create a wiki-style forum that could give users a place to compare notes with other small business owners and farmers all over the world.

Hey Michael,

Nice article - one issue is that most microborrowers (a) are not literate (b) have no access to the internet and (c) run their business on instinct not traditional business models. It would be interesting to see how access and ability to increase literacy can be addressed. perhaps using a twitter like service without text - only voice/images.

I actually like the idea of creating a service for the illiterate where only internet/cellphone/webcam or camera is needed.
